Beccie Michael has worked in community college resource development since 2005, beginning with grant writing and later expanding into the field of philanthropy. Beccie is responsible for implementing the strategic vision of the MPC Foundation’s Board, overseeing the organization’s finances, and empowering staff to produce their best work. She particularly enjoys being a part of the life changing moments that happen every day at the college. In her free time, Beccie can be found riding bikes with her three sons, competing in triathlons and obstacle races, or otherwise enjoying one of the many outdoors activities that Monterey County has to offer.

Gina Bianchi came to the MPC Foundation in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Fresno State. Gina is passionate about providing every student with the opportunity to enrich their lives and create a better future through the power of education.

As Development Associate, Gina fundraises for MPC students, leads the President’s Circle campaign, and manages the scholarships and Faculty and Staff Advancement Awards. To feed her techie side, she serves as database administrator, ensuring that the Foundation’s data provides a strong base from which to fundraise.

Lisa helps keep our office operating smoothly and always has a smile on her face while doing so! Lisa shares, “I graduated from MPC in Spring 2015, and am now taking my prerequisites to transfer to CSUMB.  Working at the Foundation has helped me to pay for school and has given me an appreciation for how much the Foundation and our local community support MPC.  It has been a privilege to attend MPC and to work at the Foundation.”

As a project assistant with the MPC Foundation, Stephanie Phillips-Jackson is able to put her passion for philanthropy to work in many creative ways.  Whether assisting with events or researching information for new programs, she finds opportunities to apply the skills and experience that she is learning as a Collaborative Health and Human Services student at Cal State Monterey Bay.

Stephanie is an MPC Alumni (2014), and  enjoys being able to stay connected with the college and help other MPC students.

Karen’s role involves managing all aspects of our accounting functions and financial reporting. She tells us, “Helping MPC students kick-start their education is a great thing to be involved in every working day.  My favorite part of my job as the Foundation’s accountant is printing award checks for all those fabulous students who receive MPC Foundation Scholarships each semester!”

Gerardo Olivares

Gerardo Olivares is the newest addition to the MPC Foundation in the role of Development Coordinator. He enjoys helping others with their educational goals, creating life changing opportunities, and participating in the professional development of new students. He is a United States Coast Guard Veteran and an active volunteer in our community.

Gerardo’s experience with data entry, educational outreach programs, and studio arts is a great addition to the MPC Foundation. His interests include SCUBA diving, photography, videography, music, and sports. He believes that having the opportunity to capture a moment (in many formats) is a lot more enjoyable when you share it.

Allison joined the MPC Foundation in 2010, bringing a wealth of resource development experience with local non-profit organizations to her position. She directs the Foundation’s grant writing efforts and enjoys telling the MPC story through her work. Allison has a passion for helping students realize their college dreams and is proud to be in a position to raise funds for vital campus programs. She embraces the Foundation’s philosophy that education is the means by which people reach their greatest potential, something she witnesses every day at MPC.
