Robert K. Bullock Journalism Scholarship

The MPC Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Robert K. Bullock Journalism Scholarship at MPC. This scholarship has been established to honor Robert K. Bullock’s passion for journalism and to inspire and empower students to pursue a degree in journalism, communication or mass media.

 There are three categories for awardees:

1) High School Students Transferring to MPC in the Fall

Monterey High, Pacific Grove High, Seaside High, Marina High and Carmel High Principals and Lead Counselors nominate students for this great award. Five students receive $1,000 awards to use at MPC. Eligible students have an interest or intent in pursuing a journalism, communication or mass media related course of study. Students must be taking full-time classes at MPC for the following two semesters, and maintain a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.

2) Currently Enrolled MPC Students

Currently enrolled full-time MPC students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 who have an intent to pursue a journalism, communication or mass media related course of study are eligible for these 10 individual $2,000 scholarships. Ten of these scholarships will be awarded. Apply now.

3) MPC Students Transferring to a 4-Year College or University

Currently enrolled full-time students at MPC who have maintained a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and are graduating this spring 2013 to transfer in the fall to a 4-year college or university with the intent to pursue a journalism, communication or mass media related course of study are eligible to receive this substantial award. The individual student scholarship will be dependent upon the number of awards granted. Apply now.
