With these Advancement Awards, the MPC Foundation encourages innovation and opportunity.

Awards may support classroom resources, technology refreshment, program development, technical equipment, conferences, workshops, and a myriad of other opportunities for professional advancement.

The purpose of the Faculty and Staff Advancement Awards program is to provide funding assistance for projects that are not supported by the existing budget and to uphold the college mission:

Monterey Peninsula College is committed to fostering student learning and success by providing excellence in instructional programs, facilities, and services to support the goals of students pursuing transfer, career, basic skills, and life-long learning opportunities. Through these efforts, MPC seeks to enhance the intellectual, cultural, and economic vitality of our diverse community.

Applications from MPC faculty and staff are thoughtfully reviewed and recipients determined by a committee of the MPC Foundation throughout the year

Employees are encouraged to review the guidelines and the application carefully before submitting a grant request. These awards are made possible by the generosity of the Foundation’s donors, including President’s Circle members and Evening of Opportunity Gala guests, and the following endowment funds: the George J. (Bob) Faul Academic Excellence Endowment Fund, the Jeanne and John Logan Memorial Award Fund, the Dr. Peggy Downes Baskin Faculty Advancement Endowment, the Doolittle Performing Arts Fund, the Chevron STEM Education Fund, Martha Mulford Ceramic Arts Fund, and the Garrison Fund for Educational Excellence Award.
