Honor Grants
The Honor Grant program is a bold new initiative built on a simple but powerful belief: access to affordable education can transform lives and strengthen communities. Generously backed by the Posey Family Foundation, the program will launch at MPC in Summer 2026.
Honor Grants are designed to help students enter essential careers by removing financial barriers that prevent enrollment and completion. The initial Honor Grant pilot supports students preparing for public-service careers such as Nursing, Fire Technology, and Emergency Medical Services. Because these programs require significant time and training, many students must reduce work hours or leave jobs in order to participate.
For too many talented students, this makes enrollment financially impossible. They are forced to take on high-interest debt, delay or abandon their education, or walk away from pursuing careers our community urgently needs. Honor Grants help bridge the financial gap so students can stay focused on completing their program and entering the workforce.
How Honor Grants Work
Honor Grants provide up-front and continuous funding to help students enroll in critical workforce careers and cover their essential living and education-related expenses while completing their programs at MPC.
These grants are zero-interest and repayable. As graduates secure employment, they will begin making monthly repayments to the MPC Foundation. Repayments will be treated as tax-deductible charitable donations and will replenish the fund for future students.. Today’s students become tomorrow’s supporters.
A Powerful Matching Opportunity
Thanks to the generosity of the Posey Family Foundation, every dollar contributed to MPC's Honor Grant program up to $250,000 will be doubled.
Honor Grants meet critical local workforce needs, reduce reliance on loans and credit card debt, and build a lasting culture of philanthropy among MPC alumni.
We invite you to partner with us in creating sustainable pathways to success for deserving students.
